EJ Blade

Premier Level Choreographer

Columbus, OH

EJ was first introduced to cheer in 1999 when his aunt Treva Coleman decided to open up her allstar gym called Columbus Fyinest. Cheerleading and dance became a passion to him from that moment and he continued with both from there. Between coaching and being an athlete, his cheer and dance career has brought him numerous National titles and two world championships titles in the Open Male Hip Hop division with Pittsburgh Poison. Currently, EJ is the creative director and coach at Midwest Cheer Elite Columbus.

EJ’s choreography career began by doing choreography and music for various inner city teams in the community. It has grown into choreographing routines around the country that have earned multiple innovative titles and speciality awards. He is always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of creativity and “wow” moments. EJ takes pride in his seamless routines from start to finish. This attention to detail has allowed him to create memorable routines that place on top at many coveted national competitions, as well as in the top 5 at Summit consistently every year. He always goes into each routine with the goal of making it even more creative and memorable than the last.

EJ prides himself on ensuring that every athlete is utilized and shining in the routine. He knows how to work with every kind of athlete in a way to help them realize their best potential. He believes in preparing athletes, not only for cheerleading and dance, but for life outside of the sports. He will work hard to ensure the client is fully satisfied in the routine they are receiving from start to finish. His style is bold and his routines are jam packed. He will be sure to have your athletes obsessed with their routines as he believes that the more fun the athletes have doing their routine, the better they will put on a production.
