Jerray Johnson, better known as Jay Jay, was born in Seattle WA but grew up in Missouri. He currently lives in the small town of Lane, Kansas, about an hour from Kansas City, MO. Jay Jay works full time on his partners farm  and is the Assistant Cheer Coach at Olathe East Highschool, located in Olathe Kansas. Jay Jay has had a passion for dancing since a very young age. He discovered his talent and passion for choreography in the 5th grade when he choreographed his first dance routine to N’Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye” for a school talent show. Jay Jay was first introduced to cheerleading in Middle School where he was the Panther mascot. He was introduced to the world of All Star Cheer when he moved back to Washington State his Sophomore year of High School.

Jay Jay loves the spotlight and feels every athlete deserves that opportunity, so he started choreographing cheerleading individuals, duos, and trios at the age of 17, and he took on the responsibility of running a program at the young age of 19. This is when his choreography skills really started to excel and shine. Jay Jay is USASF certified in tumbling levels 1-5 and has worked in the choreography industry for the past 7 years. He has coached for 14 years. Jay Jay has won numerous specialty awards for his choreography for his own teams, as well as teams all over the USA and Canada. He also helped choreograph Natural Venom Recon Senior 2 Summit Champions in 2018.

Jay Jay loves to push himself and is always trying to satisfy the client. His style is fierce, clean, sassy, and flirty. He is very well known for these things especially in the Midwest where he is also known to be a very Fierce performer. Jay Jay is very passionate about the sport of cheerleading and believes that he is not only building athletes, but he is also trying to help prepare our athletes for a world outside of cheerleading. He believes and hopes every athlete feels special and should enjoy what they are performing.
